One Ohio airport is now experimenting with a new, gentler way to avoid bird strikes: planting tall prairie grass. Heavy birds like geese — which cause the most damage to planes — are believed to avoid long grasses because they fear predators might be hiding within.

Video: British Airways Suspends Flights To Ebola-Hit Areas
British Airways said Tuesday that it has temporarily suspended flights to and from Liberia and Sierra Leone until Aug. 31 amid what health authorities have called the largest outbreak of the deadly Ebola disease ever. Video: Ebola Test Carried Out After Gatwick Passenger Death
A test for Ebola has been carried out on a female passenger who died after arriving in the UK from The Gambia. The Department for Health said the test on the elderly woman, who landed at Gatwick Airport, came back negative on Sunday afternoon. Public Health England says the risk to the UK remains very low . Initial flu-like symptoms can lead to external haemorrhaging from areas like eyes and gums, and internal bleeding which can lead to organ failure.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, both 32, arrived in Liège, Belgium, on the 100th anniversary since Britain joined the war . King Philippe and Queen Mathilde greeted their guests at Saint-Laurent abbey at around 10 a.m. local time. Upon his arrival, William laid a poppy wreath at the nearby British memorial.

Hilton Hotels is taking a page out of the airline playbook, giving users more control over the experience through their smartphone. The hotel chain has recently introduced a way for users to choose their room on their smartphone, and promises to roll out smartphone-powered door keys to the majority of their hotels by 2016. Using the new Hilton HHonors app (yes, that name needs work) or the Hilton website, users will be able to choose their room the day before they check in. They’ll be able to see photos of the room, as well as floor plans from available inventory.

Video: MH17 Black Boxes Reveal 'Missile Explosion' Caused Crash In Ukraine
Ukraine defense officials said on Monday that black box data from Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 indicates that the plane crashed as a result of a missile explosion. Pro-Russian rebels, who were early on scene after the crash and closely guarded the site, turned over the black boxes to Malaysian authorities last week in the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk. As a result of the fighting in the region, civilian casualties are on the rise, and many people have fled their homes.
