Video: Why Community Was Canceled By NBC
Though Community lived on the cancellation bubble for the majority of its run on NBC, the network finally decided to cancel it, for good, at the end of its fifth season. NBC boss Robert Greenblatt told reporters at the 2014 Summer TCA Press Tour "That six seasons and a movie thing was created by them. I'm surprised they didn't say 10 seasons and a movie." So why did Greenblatt and NBC decide to end Dan Harmon's little show that could? Greenblatt explained "It just didn't make sense for us to have another season of it at that level of audience."
